About…”when books go bad”
Are We Who?
We are “when books go bad” 2010.
We are girls, guys, a woman, teens – human beings.
We are creative and intelligent (most of the time).
We are the stars of tomorrow…
We also wish people would leave our bathroom alone,
When the screen door is closed, don’t come in. (obvious?)
We’re very easily offended
And some of us have a keen sense of smell…
I like cloudless skies.
The moon makes me shiver.
I hate Twilight the movie but I love Twilight Zone
and it’s an awesome ride at Disney.
I always forget my dreams and it makes me mad.
I think dreams are the key to amazing ideas.
No, that’s a lie.
I like music but I don’t know what heavy metal is.
(It’s Metallica)
Not all of us are afraid of cats. Some of us actually like them (with bbq sauce).
No wait, that’s not right. We were going to talk about spiders.
Remember to de-fur your spiders before eating.
And not all spiders are good for you.
I don’t understand:
girls,
guys,
why friends always get mad at each other but still say they’re friends.
I can’t live without:
my teddy bear,
food (pizza in particular),
my pillow,
money (well, some of us can),
air-conditioning
and my pancreas.
I always lie.
Sometimes I pretend my lies are the truth so that I’ll feel better inside.
That might be a lie too.
I don’t know what I want to be (maybe a rhinoceros).
I want to be free from the world’s chains that wrap me in its pollution.
I want to be known as a good person but that’s not really possible because
I keep doing bad things.
I want to be a multi-billionaire but I don’t want to do the work.
I want to be a pilot but I don’t want to be responsible for other people’s lives.
I want to be a true author but I think it will be a long way to get there.
I wish “someone” would stop talking.
I don’t understand why people don’t like green olives.
(they’re disturbing)
Not everyone agrees.
I hope for miracles and sometimes get them but when I don’t -
I sometimes cry.
When I watch the athletes at the Olympics I think about how much effort and time they put in to represent our country.
It makes me proud to be Canadian and an athlete.
But pingpong should not be an Olympic sport, we all agree on this.
I believe the world could be a better place if we tried (really hard).
I believe hardcover books last longer than soft covers, although they’re not worth the money.
I believe in myself. I believe we could all grow wings but the world has too many negative thoughts.
We are “when books go bad” and this is July 2010.
Want to talk to us? Then COMMENT!
Thanks.
